Video game reviews: World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft: – I remember well, when I first came into the “World of Warcraft” as huge as it was, and also very exciting to explore, discover, and develop new skills, hence – becoming very addictive.

Slowly but surely Blizzard’s World of Warcraft was staring to take over. And once I managed to play a Night Elf to the highest level, i was left to find that this was only the begining of the game. Raid Dungeons and Epic Dragon-Slaying Quests soon followed. When I heard about this end-game play I was eager to get into a raiding guild and work on my personal quest to obtain the most desireable armor.

However, this never happened – At the time I was needed to be doing things in the “real life” much more. Much more important things were at hand, so to avoid myself crawling back to this addictive game in my spare time, i purposely deleted my character, at the time I thought nothing of it.

I was off this game for 3 months now, maybe more. I had managed to escape the “heroin of videogames”.

Not for long…

Soon after things had settled down in reality, I decided to start afresh on World of Warcraft! I selected a new world, and also a different faction just to enjoy the action from the other points of view.

I enjoyed leveling this new character, I soon found that once again I was adicted and not ashamed to admit it, I leveled this “paladin” to 60, which was the highest at the time, and spent countless hours in the firey depths of “The Molten Core” and atop the highest peak of “Blackwing Lair”. Sooner or later I obtained a very decent set of “tier 2″ armor, which at the time, i was very pleased with. Not long before I even had the chance to progress to the next difficulty of raid instance, Blizzard released a new game. Following on from World of Warcraft – World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade!

With the release of this game, it allowed players to progress to a higher level and explore new regions introduced to the game! Another highlight was it’s flying mounts that were always looked upon as a new thrill and something for players new to The Burning Crusade to look forward to.

Getting level 70, having fully explored the new lands and having my own flying mount, I decided that it was time for me and a bunch of people to begin our own “new” raiding guild. Gladly I agreed, as myself and a lot of companions left our previous guild and started a new one. This is were the problems started.

I was used to being a raider. I was used to taking
