Review of Stone loops:

This is a combination puzzle and shoot’em up arcade game. I don’t know what I was expecting but this game is fun. Take it from a nearly non-gamer. I played this game for an hour and got to level seven. I was drawn in immediately and could have played longer if the downloaded game had been a longer sample.

Play moves along with out over whelming the player. The game is learned quickly and you can jump right in. It is clear as each game level appears what you have to do to complete it. A big thing with me is the way the levels are completed instead of beaten. I’m not sure a younger child would be able to work this game but a nine year old and above should be captivated.

In rating this game I would give play a 4/5 each level is just a little long and for those of us that aren’t physically prepared for gaming it got a little fatiguing.

The opening of this game is a jungle theme and the graphics are clear and color is saturated on the page’. The buttons are clearly displayed and it took only seconds to find my way through the beautiful drawings to begin the games. I would have liked to see the play instructions right up front but that would be nitpicking. I picked up the play and the back ground only enhanced the play experience. I would give this part of the game another 4/5.

Sound was wonderful and clear. The background sound did not overwhelm the game and the encouraging voice reporting the accomplishments of the player was deep and clear. The opening jungle music set the tone and got my system revved up to play and matches the graphics. Just for the deep encouraging voice I’d give this game a 5/5 in the sound department. The music also kept the feeling of suspense in the player’s chest.

Matching colors, collecting rewards, moving to new levels have all been done before. What makes this game fun is the total experience and giving the levels different settings and new loops’. The graphics and sound and speed make this game fun. Creativity is apparent in the graphics and sound. I would give this part of the creativity score a 3/5.

Innovation again is in the total experience the game idea isn’t new but it has been made up to give us a new experience with a combination of better known games with color and theme to delight the eye. But for innovation I have to give the game 3/5.
